SILVERDALE – The Bainbridge Island Golden Eagles Special Olympics bowlers gave stellar showings in the southwest region tournament at All Star Lanes in Silverdale on Sunday, Nov. 1.

“The competition was intense and the Golden Eagles bowlers rose to the occasion,” said Head Coach Kurt Nickel. “Many medals and ribbons were awarded for outstanding performances by all the Golden Eagles competing.”

Competing in team doubles were Tanner Conrad and Mike McLane, David Bartoldus and George Flasher, Kristina Emery and Barbara Sundquist as well as Sean Garrity and Alyia Rubenstein.

Competing in unified team doubles were Chris Marten and Norman (Tad) Marten, a son-and-father duo.

Finally, competing as singles were Ryan Kerr, Rebecca Nickel, Steven Stovner and Michael Wallace.
