SEATTLE – The first two outings of the year were disappointing defeats for the Bainbridge High varsity girls basketball team.

Against Port Angeles, on Wednesday, Nov. 29, the Spartans were bested 52-29 in their first game of the season.

Then, on Friday, Dec. 1, the island squad was again defeated, this time by Bishop Blanchet, 70-39.

The Spartans next traveled again to play against Olympic High on Monday, Dec. 4.
