Bainbridge was unable to overcome a three-goal halftime deficit as Issaquah outlasted the Spartans to win the Washington state girl lacrosse championship 11-8 Friday at Eastside Catholic High.

Bainbridge was seeking its 10th state championship, but Issaquah’s defense was too much for the Spartans in the second half, as multiple Bainbridge shots fell short and BHS could muster only three goals after the intermission.
