Boys grab third water polo win against Peninsula

GIG HARBOR – The Bainbridge High boys varsity water polo team continued their undefeated streak Tuesday, Sept. 12, snagging an epic 18-2 win on the road against Peninsula High School.

The victory pushed the team’s overall season record to 3-0, and came right on the heels of a stellar showing at the recent Curtis Jamboree event, which saw the Spartans go 3-0.

The team was again led in their offensive efforts by cocaptain Sam Kapel, who scored seven goals against the Seahawks.

Sam Chapman, Gabe Nathan, Clay Jablonski, Thomas Defawe and Miles Hogger each put up two goals apiece, and Max Eyrich managed one.

The Spartans next returned home to host Stadium High on Wednesday. Their next home match is slated for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26 against Gig Harbor.
