Bainbridge High School has qualified three track athletes for the state 3A meet at Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma.
Sophomore Ella McRitchie will be competing in the pole vault, while Matt LeDorze will run in the 100-meter dash.
Le Dorze qualified with a time of 11.06 seconds. The fastest time is 10.75 by Will Floyd of Seattle Prep. At districts he was sixth.
Allie Wildsmith is scheduled to compete in the high jump. Her qualifying mark of 5 foot 4 in third-best in state. Jayden Smith of Southridge is No. 1 at 5-6.
McRitchie also ranks third going into state with her vault of 13 feet. She is behind Hana and Amanda Noll of Capital, who both have vaulted 14 feet.
At the district meet last week in Kent, the boys and girls both ran in the 4 by 100 relay, but neither qualified for state.
The boys team of Amare Clark, Aidan Freitas, Micah Bryant and Le Dorze just missed qualifying, placing 10th in 44.81 seconds.
The girls team was 16th in 54.07 seconds. On that squad were Abrianna Chotiner, Clara Maclise, Wildsmith and Claire Hungerford.
Eden Michael competed in 1600 meters, but did not qualify with a time of 5 minutes, 26.39 seconds.
For North Kitsap in 2A at state, Logan Sloman will run the 100 and 200 meters, Jonathan Olmsted the 400, Alec Ibarra and Matthew Fee the 800, Derek Cordova the 3200, Carter Braund the 110 hurdles, the 4 by 100 relay, the 4 by 400 relay, Jay Ashford-Downing will compete in the high jump, Caleb Leche and Tenichi Gordon in the pole vault, Lincoln Castillo in the long jump, Laine Miller is the discus, and Ksaac Lesco in the javelin.
For the girls, Lillian Pruden and Emerson Bollert will run the 200, Pruden the 400, Genesi Funston and Salix Wartes-Kahl the 800, Wartes-Kahl the 1600, the 4 by 100 relay, the 4 by 200 relay, the 4 by 400 relay, Kate Posten and Stephanie Lara in the high jump, Kaiya Ochs in the pole vault, Jazmine Gipson in the long jump, Shelby Snider in the triple jump and Corinne Aala in the discus.
