SEATTLE – Bainbridge High School varsity tennis team Head Coach Jennifer Anne Shorr competed and brought home both a silver and a bronze ball at the recent Women’s National Senior Indoor Tennis Championships, held at the prestigious Seattle Tennis Club.
A true national surface championship that forms the grand slam for senior competitors in the United States, the event offers a chance to win a coveted gold, silver or bronze ball award.
Shorr came in to the event unseeded and was the only Pacific Northwest player to get into the round of 16.
In the singles, she took out three seeded players on the way to the semifinals, ultimately taking the bronze for third place.
Her only defeat was to the top seed and world-ranked Tina Karwasky in three sets.
In doubles, she and her partner went all the way to the final, taking out two seeded teams to bring home the silver.
