Bainbridge seniors win big over Bremerton

The BI Park and Rec Senior Softball team defeated the Bremerton Park and Rec Senior team 14-8 on Friday, May 31 in Bremerton.

Robert Hollar had two home runs, including a grand slam, and drove in six runs for Bainbridge. The team had good pitching and decent defense that never gave up a big inning to Bremerton.

Team members include Sam Bardelson, Jack Bishop, Steve Boyce, Edward Buckley, Frank Childers, Lucy Costello, Mark Cowan, Brian D’Amato, Glenn Gomes, Mark Hatch, Robert Hollar, Jas Linford, Chris Loverich, Richard McDonald, Suze Montez, Bob Nash, Angela Orrey, Sundance Rogers, Rick Sloan and Rae Touchette.

The island team is always looking for more members. If you are over 50 and interested in playing, contact Julie Miller at Practices are 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Wednesday and Friday at Battle Point Park. The season runs April to the end of September.
