SEATTLE – The Bainbridge boys varsity basketball team beat Chief Sealth on the road in the third game of the season Friday, Dec. 13.
The final score was 48-41 Bainbridge.
“This game was a grind,” said Spartan Head Coach Scott Orness. “Both teams shot the ball poorly, and this was a perfect example of why defense and rebounding win games.”
The Spartans as a whole managed 21 rebounds, with 17 of those coming from offensive rebounds made by junior wing/post Oskar Dieterich.
“I felt our guys did a great job taking away the penetration of [Chief] Sealth,” Orness said.
The top BHS scorers were senior guard Joey Blacker (18 points), Dieterich (11), junior guard Blake Swanson (seven) and junior guard Trent Schulte (six).
