To the editor:

In spite of the dire forecast, St. Cecilia Parish went ahead with its annual fall fundraiser the night of the Big Storm.

Even though the power went out 30 minutes before the doors opened, we all enjoyed a delicious dinner, “romantic” lighting, and the sounds of Sinatra. Caterer Cherie Levan of Simply Bainbridge, DJ Brant Butte of Let’s Dance, and auctioneer Matt Smith, along with our chair Christine Edwards, were unflappable and created a fantastic event.

Many thanks to our attendees (95 percent of our ticket holders were there!), donors and volunteers. Looking forward to next year’s event!
