Virginia Watt Ganson, age 99

Virginia Watt Ganson died Sept. 26. She was 99.

Virginia was born April 4, 1911, in Pullman, to George and Anna Watt and was a resident of Bainbridge Island for 25 years starting in 1947. For the last five years, she has resided at Montclair Park in Poulsbo.

She and her beloved husband Arthur Ganson traveled widely and celebrated fifty years of marriage in 1985, shortly before his passing. During her time on Bainbridge Island she was continuously involved in volunteer work including Girl Scouts, hospital guild and many others. She will be remembered for her grace, lovely smile and positive outlook.

She is survived by her three children Robert (Diane) Ganson of Plano, Patricia (John) Repanich of the Island of Vis, Croatia, and Kay (David) Boyce of Bainbridge Island; six grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
