Ruth Marie Trackwell

January 11, 1930 – June 20, 2011

      Ruth Marie Trackwell passed away Monday, June 20, 2011 at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle, WA. Ruth was born to Isidor Addison Dehn, Jr. and Frances Ellen Adams on January 11, 1930 in Oakland, CA. She married Russell Nelson Trackwell on March 12, 1948 in Oakland, CA. Through his work with a foreign based petroleum company, they lived in 7 countries and traveled in many others. Along the way they had two children, Phillip Curtis Trackwell (Katherine) of Bainbridge Island, WA and Teresa Lynn Kuhnau (Bruce) of Aberdeen, WA. They were blessed with three grandchildren, Ruth, Monika and William Kuhnau.

      In 1985 they retired to Bill Point Way on Bainbridge Island. In 2003, Russ passed away and Ruth, now living on Madison Ave., soon joined the loving community of Grace Episcopal Church where she made many friends.

      Ruth was an accomplished cook, seamstress and also left behind many fine examples of her needlework. She loved to read cookbooks and mysteries.

      In her final years, she was assisted by two dear caregivers, Debra Alsberge and Shirley Sherman. She was delighted to have the company of Phil and Katherine when they retired a year ago and chose to live on Bainbridge Island.

      She will be inurned with Russ in Kane Cemetery on Bainbridge Island in September in a private family ceremony. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Episcopal Church or Helpline House.
