Richard C. Adair of Bainbridge Island, died Jan. 12 at his winter home in Mesa, Ariz.
Richard was born in Port Orchard on March 2, 1928. He graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1947, and attended Eastern Washington College and served during the Korean War. He worked for Pacific Northwest Bell until 1982. He was a Little League coach, volunteer fireman, head of the Bainbridge Island Ambulance Association, member of the Telephone Pioneers, Masonic Lodge #98 and Fountain of the Sun Country Club.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Pat; sons Steve Adair (Jan), Jeff Adair; daughters Connie Rinonos (Ted) and Janet Adair; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held later at the family home on Bainbridge.
