Patricia T. Milton

Patricia T. Milton, age 68

Patricia Louise (Thebert) Milton died on April 18. She was born on July 4, 1944 in Baton Rouge, LA to Fred and Ellen Thebert.

After moving to Michigan and Seattle, the family settled on a farm in Buckley in 1959. She lived on a farm and loved riding her horse Ginger. She competed in several horse racing events and at one time held the state record in the keyhole race. After graduating from White River High School with honors in 1962, she went to nursing school at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Seattle. After working as an RN or a short time, she joined the Army. While serving in Vietnam she was diagnosed with polysystic kidney disease and was given a medical discharge.

Patricia moved to the San Francisco area in the early 1970’s and then moved to the Kitsap County area and in 1978. There she met Darryl through a mutual friend and they were married on Valentine’s Day 1981. Pat loved her German Shepherds, spending many hours training and showing them in competition obedience and tracking.

Salmon fishing in the 80’s and 90’s at Pillar Point in their 19-foot boat was highlighted by her being top catcher many times. In the last fifteen years, as the disease progressed, RVing enabled Pat to enjoy many trips.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, sister Carol and brother Ralph. She is survived by her husband, Darryl; two German Shepherd, Libby and Kuma; brothers Fred and Phil and a sister, Liz.
