Patricia Pelandini

July 10, 1946 – June 26, 2025

Patricia Pelandini passed away peacefully at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle in the early morning hours of June 26, 2025 at the age of 78 after a long illness. She was born Patricia Echo Wood on July 10, 1946 alongside her twin brother, William, to parents Jasper “Pat” Wood and Frances McDermott Wood in Aberdeen, Washington. Less than a year later, her sister, Mary was born, and a few years after that, the family relocated to Bremerton, Washington where Pat worked at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.

Patty met the love of her life, Bill Pelandini, while attending West Bremerton High School. They married on December 20, 1968 and eventually settled on Bainbridge Island in 1983 to raise their three children. Patty was active in her community, singing in the choir at Saint Cecelia’s Catholic Church and volunteering at The Bargain Boutique, before becoming the store’s manager in 2003.

Patty found great joy in many things, especially spending time with her family and traveling. She and Bill traveled to Europe many times, and they took several trips within the U.S., including multiple trips to California, Hawaii, and the East Coast. She was the proud aunt of 7 nieces, and was ecstatic to become a grandmother in 2006 when her grandson, Benjamin, was born. She took special pride in her children, celebrating their unique gifts, and teaching them to always be kind, respectful, and as funny as possible. Patty was happiest when she was surrounded by her family and friends, laughing, cooking, shopping, and just chatting about life.

Patty is survived by her beloved husband Bill Pelandini, son Matthew Pelandini and his wife Rebecca, grandson Benjamin Pelandini, daughter Sarah Pelandini, son Adam Pelandini, sister Mary Champine, sister-in-law Susie Wood, her many nieces, grandnieces, grandnephews, and friends. All will remember her warmth and her love of life and for her family.

Patty was laid to rest at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bremerton on July 10, 2025 after a small service attended by her closest family members. A larger celebration of life is being planned for later this year.
