Merle Patrick Hollenback

Merle Patrick Hollenback died Jan. 4 at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton. He was 92.

He was born Sept. 11, 1918, in Gothenburg, Neb. to Roy C. and Wilhelmina Hollenback.

In 2001 Pat was awarded “Man of The Year” by the Sons of Norway in Poulsbo.

He was preceded in death by his brothers William R. and Charles Hollenback.

He is survived by his children Merle James (Jim) Hollenback and Louise Hollenback Barbee of Suquamish; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and many other loving family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend the memorial service at 2:30 p.m. Jan. 28 at The Messenger House Care Center on Bainbridge Island.

Memorial contributions can be made to The Kitsap Humane Society and VFW of Poulsbo or The American Legion in Highland Park, Ill.
