Matthew Seth Mote died July 10 in Huber Heights, Ohio, surrounded by friends and family.

He was born Aug. 13, 1970, in Dayton, Ohio.

Matthew termed himself an “IT architect.” He began his career at IBM in New York City, and moved to Bainbridge Island where he operated his own consulting firm, MOJO Microelectronics. Matthew returned to Manhattan with Baldinger Architectural Lighting.

Matthew participated fully in life’s journey, doing exactly what he wanted. He was unique, unequalled in intelligence, generosity and love of life.

He is survived by his father and stepmother Melvyn and Jackie Mote; siblings Amanda, Lori, Clark, Jeffery, Danielle, and their partners; numerous nieces and nephews; and countless friends worldwide.

Celebrations of his life will be held in in August in N.Y., Ohio and Washington.
