Loma Lou (Skinner) Winslow of Port Orchard passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025. She was born on July 6, 1936, in Lamar, Colorado to Ben and Irene Skinner. At five years old, the family moved to Port Orchard Washington. She attended South Kitsap schools, graduating in 1953. During her high school years, she worked at Bremerton Motel, Rodeo Drive-in and Jack’s Cafe. Also, in 1953 she married the love of her life, Gerald Winslow. She was a homemaker who raised five children and helped her husband run Winslow Masonry Construction and Heritage Fireplace Shops.
Loma was a member and Sunday School teacher at the Church of The Nazarene in Bremerton where she introduced Jesus to many children. Loma worked hard and had many talents. She did custom cake decorating, was an amazing artist, loved to cook, bake, garden and can all fruits and vegetables from their farm. On their 10 acres they raised beef, pork, chickens, horses, milk cows, and many animals. She also loved to quilt, knit, and crochet all her children’s clothes. She had a heart of gold and always put others’ needs above her own.
Loma was proceeded in death by her husband Gerald Winslow of 68 years, their son Dean Grant Winslow, her parents Ben and Irene Skinner, sister (Marilee Skinner) brother (Benton Skinner) and granddaughter Amanda Winslow. She is survived by her son Bret Alan Winslow (Dawn) and Wade Elwood Winslow (Theresa). Daughters Rhonda Rae Edwards (Steve) Joni Kae Wilson (Marc) and Dee Ann Wilson (Mark); 23 grandchildren; Rachel, Cody and Clint Edwards, Evan, Emily and Brady Winslow, Jerry (JJ), Mitchell and Amy Wilson, Clare and Laura Wilson and Jayne Westman, Brandy Harrison, Justin and Shaun Winslow, Christian, Tara, Grace, Caleb, Joshua, Daniel, Lilly and Abagail Winslow; 39 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
