Leanne Marie Thompson, age 35

Leanne Marie Thompson, of Bainbridge Island, died June 20.

Leanne was born on June 5, 1975, in Napa, Calif. to Robert L. Thompson, and Joyce M. Turner-Smith.

She earned an associate’s degree in early childhood education from Napa Valley College and worked many years in banking. Leanne was director of an early childhood care facility in Napa and a para-educator for the Bainbridge Island School District.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather Benjamin Turner.

Leanne is survived by her parents Robert and Joyce (Michael); son Kyle; brothers Nathan Thompson and Ryan William Smith; sisters Jaime Godsey and Kristilyn Smith; grandparents Ruby Turner, Barbara and Bill Nichols and Glenda and Freddie Thompson.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. June 25 at The Stone Chapel Poulsbo Mortuary. Interment will be at Cherry Grove Memorial Park in Poulsbo. Memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Kitsap County at P.O. Box 3416 Silverdale, WA 98383. An online memorial can be seen at www.lewischapel.com.
