Janene Rae (Bromley) Piecuch

Janene Rae (Bromley) Piecuch of Sequim, Washington, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025, at Dungeness Courte in Sequim. She was 81.

Janene was born on December 30, 1943, in Seattle, Washington, to Paul and Wilma (Picket) Bromley. She was raised in Seattle, along with her siblings, Howard and Diane.

Janene graduated from Foster High School in 1962 and went on to business school. She was a successful businesswoman, becoming president of Pacific Line Trophy and going on to own and operate Seattle Pens and Bloomin’ Florist while raising her son, Joseph. In 1980, Janene married Joseph Piecuch of Suquamish, Washington, and gained four sons and a daughter. She continued working in customer service for many years on the Kitsap Peninsula.

Janene was a lifelong reader of all genres, and enjoyed gardening, sailing with her husband, swimming and photography. She was involved with the Poulsbo Yacht Club for many years. Her greatest joy was guiding her family to seek their highest potential. Janene led by example, continuously learning and remaining curious about the world, swimming across the Columbia River at Vantage in 1994, participating in her first triathlon at age 57, and becoming a Master Gardener in retirement.

In 2007, she and Joe relocated to Sequim, where she was active in the Garden Club, the Sunland Community and other volunteer roles including the Sequim Food Bank and Sequim Library.

Janene’s legacy lives on through her six children, sons Joseph Bromley (Renae) Piecuch, Joseph Donald Piecuch, Charles Piecuch, Timothy Piecuch, Justin (Lisa) Piecuch and daughter Elizabeth (Neal) Slatta; fifteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph and both parents.
