Ivy Yvonne Kirk Stutsman (“Von”) was born on Feb. 22, 1930 in Toronto, Canada.

In her young 20s, Von moved to Los Angeles where she met and married Larry Stutsman. Von and Larry made a home in Encino, California, raising two sons. They spent their summers in Brookings, Oregon, camping and fishing.

In the late 1970s, Von and Larry moved to Bainbridge Island, where they became permanent fixtures on the island. Almost daily, Von could be seen at the Island Grill, where friends would come by and have a meal or an ice cream with her.

In 2013, Von moved to Bellevue, where she could be close to her son and daughter-in-law.

On Feb. 20, 2017, Von passed.

Von is survived by her two sons, Michael and Mark; her daughter-in-law, Lori; her grandchildren, Blake, Kasey, Austen, Hunter and Rikki; and her great-granddaughter Faith.
