Franklin Marshall (Marsh) Terry II was born to Mildred Castle and Franklin (Mart) Terry on November 8th, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan, and moved with his family to Seattle in 1946. A 1957 graduate of West Seattle High School, he attended Eastern Washington University. Returning to Seattle in 1959, he enlisted in the Army, was stationed at Fort Meade, Maryland, and worked for the NSA. He returned to Seattle in 1962 to marry Jacqueline Sparks. He worked at KISW FM and other radio stations in the Northwest and St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, amassing an enviable record collection. After radio, he entered advertising, starting at Lennen and Newell, continuing with McCann Erickson-Interpublic, and starting his own agency. In 1972, he and Jackie moved to Bainbridge Island. He continued in marketing and advertising, writing a weekly column for the Kitsap Sun and authoring Courting Business, which he developed into a seminar presented across the Pacific Northwest and Canada. He retired from Cascade Gasket. Marsh was a lover of the irreverent, and he saw things with humor and depth. His interest in exotic cars ran deep; he was a fantastic driving teacher, as well as an avid pilot. In 1985, his daughter Morgan was born. He was a doting father and supported Morgan in any way he could. Marsh had an innate ability to make people feel seen. He passed away in his home on May 14th with his daughter, granddaughter, and sisters close by.

He is remembered by his daughter, Morgan Terry, his granddaughter, Sloan Terry, his sisters Carol, Lee, and Allison Terry, his niece Carrie Erickson, his cousin Joanne Lee, and his ex-wife Jackie Terry.
