Erma Samarron

Erma Samarron died Jan. 6 on Bainbridge Island.

She was born Nov. 15, 1919, to Usidro and Petra (Valle) Maldonado in Uvade, Texas.

In 1936 she married Felix Samarron and they moved to the Sutherlin area where they raised their three children. Erma was very active in the church and enjoyed cooking, cleaning, shopping and being with her many friends. She was always dressed to the “nines.”

Erma is preceded in death by her husband Felix; son Richard; sister Beatrice Smith; brother Frank Maldonado and great grandchild Dustin Davis.

Survivors include her daughter Patsy Chandler of Bainbridge Island; son Felix Samarron; grandchildren Doug Samarron and Tonia Renee Davis; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
