Dudley Palmer Jones, age 88

      Dudley Jones died March 28, just a few days shy of his 89th birthday, surrounded by his family.

      Born April 3, 1924, he was a former New Englander and WWII Merrill’s Marauders veteran. Dudley’s grasp of geography and world events was exceeded only by his encyclopedic knowledge and passion for trolley’s and electric railroading. We will miss his quiet, gentle nature and wry sense of humor.

      Dudley led a life of service dedicated to his country, community, church and family. He is survived by his wife Doris and his children Julieanne and Jonathan (wife Melinda) & grandchildren Lila, Erin and Thea.

      A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 15th at Rolling Bay Presbyterian Church on Bainbridge Island, Washington.
