Dr. James Young, Jr., age 91

      Dr. James Young, Jr. died on December 5 at his residence on Bainbridge Island, WA. He was born on February 12, 1921.

      He graduated from Roosevelt High School in Seattle, California Institute of Technology and the University of Washington. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served overseas in WWII. He worked for Bell Laboratories, The United Nations and the University of Washington.

      His hobbies included golf and astronomy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Young. He is survived by his son Jay Young (Merrilee), daughter Margaret Hansche (Brian) and four grandchildren.
