Arthur B. Clark

Bainbridge resident Arthur B. Clark, age 79, died at Oct. 23 at Messenger House Care Center.

He was born July 5, 1924 in Mook, Ky., to W.J. and Eva (Sipes) Clark.

He enlisted in the Army at a young age and served 12 years in the United States, Europe, Korea and Japan. It was while stationed in Vienna, Austria that he met and married his first wife.

When he returned to the States, he worked at the University of Washington and later at Boeing, where after 20 years he retired in 1986.

He is survived by children, Arthur B. Clark, Jr., and Rosalie Clark-Horacek, both of Vienna, Austria; Colleen Clark-Dyke, Bainbridge Island; one sister, Anna Frances Oliver, Bowling Green, Ky.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

At his request, no services will be held. Arrangements are by Kass Funeral Home.
