KINGSTON – Ian Havill, Head Coach of the Bainbridge High varsity girls golf team, along with White Horse Golf Club in Kingston and Go Girl Golf will host a free preseason tryout clinic and introductory event for girls in grades 7 through 12 from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20 and Friday, Aug. 21.

White Horse Golf Club is located at 22795 Three Lions Pl NE, in Kingston.

“We are doing [this] free event for Bainbridge girls to get ready for the season and to get some younger girls mingling with high school players,” Havill said. “There will be no charge for this event, which will include range balls, instruction and drills that will be conducted as part of tryouts [and] placement.”

Younger players are encouraged to come out and get a feel for the game, he added.

Last season, perhaps for the first time ever. BHS had enough female golfers to fill both a varsity and junior varsity roster.
