Volunteer chances to aid environment

Many volunteer opportunities are available to help with conservation.

Join the Hansville Greenway Wildlife Corridor Invasive Ivy Removal project June 24. They will meet at the south end of the Buck Lake parking lot at 9 a.m. and be done around noon.

Bainbridge Island Metro Parks and Recreation District has trail work parties the fourth Saturday of each month.

The district and Weed Warriors also learn about invasive weeds from 10 a.m. to noon the second Saturday of each month.

Hannah’s Garden Work Party is back those same hours on the third Wednesday of each month.

The Red Pine Park Work Party is on the second Tuesday of each month at the same time.

Also from 10 a.m. to noon on the third Thursday of each month is the Moritani Preserve Work Party.
