Two new cases of COVID-19 in Kitsap — but not on Bainbridge

Kitsap Public Health District reported two more cases of COVID-19 in Kitsap County on Thursday, one of which is retroactive to Wednesday.

Neither of the two new confirmed cases of the coronavirus were found on Bainbridge Island.

Instead, county health officials said the two positive test results came from a resident in North Kitsap, and a resident of Central Kitsap.

Of the 143 cases, 39 have been reported in Bremerton, 36 in South Kitsap, 30 in North Kitsap, 27 in Central Kitsap and 11 on Bainbridge Island.

Two deaths from COVID-19 in the county have been reported as of April 22.
