Washington State Ferries reported just before 5:15 p.m. Wednesday that the ferry to Bainbridge Island from Seattle will be delayed because of a search-and-rescue effort.

WSF said the ferry M/V Puyallup will be late on the 5:30 p.m. sailing from Bainbridge Island and the 6:20 p.m. sailing from Seattle.

Riders on the Puyallup report that a person may have gone overboard.
