Bainbridge city officials are inviting residents to attend a workshop on the transportation element of the comprehensive plan this week at city hall.

The comp plan is the city’s expansive policy document that will guide growth and development on the island for the next 20 years. The plan is divided into chapters, called elements, that focus on issues such as transportation, housing and capital facilities.

A workshop on the transportation piece of the comp plan will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28 in the council chamber in city hall.

City officials note that residents planning to attend the meeting should review the draft Islandwide Transportation Study to help inform their comments.

The public is also encouraged to submit comments in advance of the workshop to pcd@bainbridgewa.gov. Comments will also be accepted during the workshop.
