More than a thousand homes on Bainbridge Island lost power just before 6:30 a.m. Thursday.

The outage was reported in the neighborhoods near Seabold United Methodist Church.

Puget Sound Energy has dispatched a crew to the area, and the cause of the power loss is being investigated.

According to the utility company’s online outage map, a total of 1,001 PSE customers were affected.

The outage is the second in a week on Bainbridge. On Tuesday night, more than a 1,000 customers went without power for a few hours on the island’s south end.
