The program reduces the amount of plastic entering landfills, while recycling the plastic into a cleaner, lower-in-sulphur fuel. The Bainbridge High School Earth Service Corps has already sent in 1,270 markers, and each school on Bainbridge currently has a staff member signed up to collect markers.

The Curious Child has offered to collect used markers from the public at their store, located at 1050 Hildebrand Lane.
