Teenager hit by car near BHS

A teenager was taken to a local hospital after she was hit by a car while crossing the street in front of Bainbridge High last Friday evening.

A teenager was taken to a local hospital after she was hit by a car while crossing the street in front of Bainbridge High last Friday evening.

Bainbridge Island Fire Department Assistant Chief Luke Carpenter said the accident occurred on High School Road at Grow Avenue at 6:15 p.m. Feb. 7.

The driver of the car reported the accident. Carpenter said the pedestrian, a 15-year-old girl, had minor injuries.
