Tim Bomke, an Army combat veteran and Purple Heart Award winner, speaks to the gathered students at the St. Cecilia School Wednesday, Nov. 9. Wounded while serving in Northern Iraq, Bomke was medically retired after serving for six years as an armor officer. His two children attend the school, which invited him to speak to the students as part of their Veteran’s Day-themed studies.
