After three weeks of non-league conference competition, the Bainbridge basketball teams resume their league schedules this week at Seattle Prep.
The tenth-ranked boys team, which went 2-1 in San Diego’s Surf ‘N’ Slam tournament last week, take on fifth-ranked Seattle Prep (4-1 in the Metro, 6-3 overall) at 7 p.m.
The Spartans currently sit at second in the Metro-Sound division with a 3-1 Metro record, and 6-2 overall.
Senior Will DiIorio, who was named to the Surf ‘N’ Slam all star team, is averaging 21 points a game in Metro play.
Seattle Prep holds the top spot in the Metro-Mountain division, with leading scorer DJ Fenner averaging 18.7 points per game.
The girls team leads the Metro-Sound division with a 2-2 record, 4-4 overall, face Seattle Prep (2-2 in the Metro, 3-4 overall) at 7 p.m. tomorrow.
The Spartans split their last four contests without leading scorer Hannah Depew, who has been sidelined with an injury.
Seattle Prep (2-2 in the Metro) is coming off big win over 4A Gonzaga Prep.
The Panthers are led by junior Kari Luttinen, who has averaged 20.1 points per contest.
