The Bainbridge Island Metropolitan Park &Recreation District will hold a meeting next week to talk about site planning for Sakai Park.

The meeting is 7 p.m. Thursday, June 1.

Jones &Jones, the architecture group selected by the board to develop a site plan for the park, will assess the recommended uses generated by the community during the public process in 2016.

Jones &Jones will present several options for the property drawn from the public’s recommended uses for the park. Site configurations and analyses will be provided by the Jones &Jones team which includes landscape designers, planners, architects, and civil engineers.

The presentation will be made to the park board and any interested members of the public who attend the board meeting which will be held at the Bainbridge Island Aquatic Center at 8521 Madison Ave. North.
