Bainbridge Island Historical Museum has kicked off its annual “Save Our History” raffle.

Some lucky person will walk away with a check for a slew of smackaroos during this year’s drawing, planned for 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28.

The first prize in the raffle, now in its eighth year, is $5,000.

Second prize is a Quadcopter Drone with video camera, and the third prize is an Apple Watch Sport. Ticket holders need not be present to win.

Raffle tickets are available from museum staff, board members and volunteers who will be selling tickets Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Town & Country Market, RiteAid and Ace Hardware. (Tickets are $10 for one, $25 for three).

Tickets are also for sale at the museum, 215 Ericksen Ave., by phone at 206-842-2773 or by downloading an order form at www.bainbridgehistory.org.

Organizers note the “Save Our History” Raffle is an important source of funds for the historical museum.

Together with individual and corporate memberships and donations, the raffle enables the museum to preserve and share the wonderful history of Bainbridge.

Every ticket purchaser is a winner; each raffle ticket is good for a free admission to the museum to view all exhibits including “Port Blakely: Portrait of a Mill Town” and the award-winning Ansel Adams “A Portrait of Manzanar.”

The museum is open every day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A new exhibit exploring World War II and its effects on Bainbridge Island will open in November.
