Repairs to ferry Wenatchee prompt cancellation of Friday morning sailing

Trouble with a stern tube on the No. 1 end of the ferry MV Wenatchee Friday morning prompted the cancellation of the 5:20 a.m. departure from Bainbridge Island to Seattle, according to Washington State Ferries.

WSF is still diagnosing problems with the vessel’s stern tube (the hole in the hull which holds the propeller shaft).

The Wenatchee returned to service after repairs with the 6:10 a.m. departure July 11 from Seattle.
