Hundreds of homes on Bainbridge Island were still without power Monday morning following a windstorm that hit the island late Saturday night.

A windstorm with winds of 50 mph and higher rolled through Puget Sound late Jan. 17. The storm knocked down trees and cut power throughout Kitsap County, and the Hood Canal Bridge was temporarily closed due to the weather.

Puget Sound Energy reported multiple outages across Bainbridge, from the south end to the north, continued Monday.

The company said crews worked through the night to restore power and will continue through Monday.

Many of the Bainbridge outages were reported before 5 a.m. Saturday.

Neighborhoods with the highest number of homes still without power are along Manitou Beach (with more than 50 homes affected), Rose Loop Northeast (35 homes) and Northeast Darden Lane (110 homes) just north of South Beach Drive.

Smaller outages are still ongoing on Euclid Avenue North, Northeast Manual Road, Manzanita Road Northeast, Fletcher Bay Road, High School Road and Point White Drive.

Power will not be restored for some Bainbridge homes until Monday afternoon, according to PSE.
