Power restored after high winds take out two power lines

According to Puget Sound Energy, power has been restored to affected Bainbridge Island areas after a windstorm knocked over trees and downed two power lines last night.

“We did have two outages effecting customers on Bainbridge Island and power has since been restored,” said Dorothy Bracken, a spokesperson with PSE.

The most major outage occurred when a tree took out a power line on Fletcher Bay Road, cutting power to 1,064 customers in the Winslow area.

A smaller outage occurred in the Murden Cove Area after another tree fell into wires located on Lofgren Road.

That outage only disabled power to two residences.

Bracken said that all power was returned by 2:30 a.m. this morning.
