Holy Fourth of July Batman! Even by island standards, this is one busy weekend. Bainbridge is definitely not a spectator sport.

From the git-go, you have choices to make: On Friday the Rotary Auction and Sale Preview (4 to 7 p.m.) or Art Walk (6 to 8 p.m.).

On Saturday morning, lace up your running shoes for the 51st annual Bainbridge Island Rotary Auction and Rummage Sale.

On Sunday, the Historic Lynwood Theatre celebrates a milestone 75th anniversary with its traditional nod to the silent film. Catch either a matinee or dinner showing of “Phantom of the Opera” to the accompaniment of Dennis James. (For more on that, see Kitsap Week, inserted in this week’s Review.)

The Summer Vibes July 3 Party, held at the Farmers’ Market site, will carry the torch this year for the annual July 3 Street Dance, canceled due to – well, you know.

Then, wake up with the roosters for the Grand Old Fourth celebration starting with the traditional pancake breakfast (7-10 a.m.), the Bainbridge Youth Services Fun Run (registration begins at 7:30 a.m.), Farmers’ Market (9 a.m. to 2 p.m. ) and an almost mile-long schedule of events, including the almost mile-long parade. This year’s parade (1 p.m.) will  bypass Winslow Way, home of the brave, and end at Bjune Drive where the Street Fair, Beer and Wine Garden and entertainment will be held.

Things wind down around 5 p.m., time enough for a nap, check your Facebook page and pack the kidlets bound for Pritchard or Waterfront Park or Harbor Square in time to ooh and ah at the third annual Arnold Jackson Memorial Fireworks Display.

So let’s recap: Really busy weekend. Hydrate often. Don’t forget the sunscreen. And above all, pace yourself. You won’t want to miss one glorious minute of it.
