No new cases of COVID-19 in Kitsap County Wednesday

Countywide confirmed cases stand at 162, positive test rate is about two percent

No new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed by the Kitsap Public Health District in its Wednesday update, leaving the countywide total at 162 cases. The total number of confirmed cases for Bainbridge Island remains at 11.

One case of COVID-19 was removed from the Kitsap County tally last Friday by the Kitsap Public Health District, after officials discovered that a case had been assigned to someone who lived outside of the county.

A total of 6,401 residents have tested negative — of those tested, the positive test rate has dropped to about 2 percent.

Of the 162 cases, 51 have been reported in Bremerton, 39 in South Kitsap, 33 in North Kitsap, 28 in Central Kitsap and 11 on Bainbridge Island. Two coronavirus-related deaths have been confirmed by Kitsap Public Health District as well.

The age breakdown for confirmed cases is as follows:

0 – 19: 7

20 – 29: 30

30 – 39: 19

40 – 49: 27

50 – 59: 41

60 – 69: 19

70 – 79: 13

80 and older: 6
