The Bainbridge Island Police Department is welcoming a new officer to the force.

Long-time island resident and former Suquamish Police Officer Jon Bingham has joined the Bainbridge department.

Bingham has served as a reserve officer on Bainbridge for almost six years and served the Suquamish Police for the last three years.
