My thoughts on race equality

By Amare Clark (Age 10)

Some people think or say that Black people are bad. While yes some Black people are bad so are some White people. People say “oh you look different than others.” Well, you look different too! I believe it’s the way God made us. If we all looked the same, life would be boring.

Lastly, some people say Black people make mistakes. However everyone makes mistakes, we’re only human.

Whatever race you are you should be treated equally, with respect, love, and kindness.

“I hope no one ever calls me this”

By Aiyanna Clark (Age 9)

I was online and I saw a White person call a Black person an Oreo. Like the cookie — black on the outside and white on the inside. That made me super mad. Then I thought “You should not try to make someone into something they aren’t.” So, please don’t call anyone that because they are just being themselves.

Don’t try to change someone.

Don’t change yourself to please someone else.
