Bail $500K

Bail has been set at $500,000 for a 31-year-old Port Orchard man who violated a court order and has two previous felonies.

He was in Superior Court Dec. 11.

Kitsap sheriff’s reports say on Nov. 20 at 6:39 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 3100 block of Chive Place SE in Port Orchard. A woman said he ex-husband texted her, violating a court order.

One text message included the word Chive so she feared he knew where she lived.

4 charges

A 25-year-old Port Orchard man was in Superior Court Dec. 11, arrested on four charges. Bail was set at $107,500.

The charges are: unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen vehicle, graffiti malicious mischief, and resisting arrest. He faces 21 years and 90 days in prison and $46,000 in fines.

Bremerton police say on Dec. 9 at 5:53 p.m. in the 1700 block of 13th Street in Bremerton the man was in a car with no license plate. The suspect sped away as an officer gave chase. The car spun out of control and two people ran off. The officer chased the driver and told him he was under arrest.

The suspect refused to get on the ground, jumped a fence and took off again. The officer caught him, took him to the ground and placed him in handcuffs. A loaded gun was found nearby, and the homeowner said it wasn’t his. The suspect is a convicted felon. When asked who the car belonged to he said, “I have no clue.” He later said, “One of my homies.”

The vehicle ignition was damaged, and no keys were located. When asked about the gun he decided to remain silent.

Deadly weapon

A 36-year-old Bremerton man was in Superior Court Dec. 11 charged with second-degree assault with a deadly weapon.

Bail was set at $80,000. He faces 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.

Kitsap sheriff’s reports say on Dec. 8 at 10:35 p.m. in the 2500 block of Erlands Point Road there was a man with a gun inside a residence. The suspect was intoxicated and had friends over. An argument ensued and as the victim tried to leave he was met in the driveway by the man with the gun.

The suspect pointed the firearm and screamed at the victim’s girlfriend, who was driving a car. There were four kids and three adults in the vehicle. The suspect pistol-whipped the driver’s side window, cracking the glass. The suspect was arrested. Three guns and a shotgun were taken from the residence.
