Bainbridge Island’s Kid’s Discovery Museum lit another candle for its birthday this month, and children swarmed to help celebrate.
KiDiMu’s birthday was a smash. The museum opened its doors for free, and the fun spread out onto the parking lot. Food provided by The 122 was served while faces were painted and a children danced with their parents to live music by the Not-Its.
“I’m incredibly fortunate to be a part of such an amazing organization,” said KiDiMu’s Gabe Carbajal. “From watching the kids dance and wiggle to the Not-Its, to watching parents get lost in the colors while playing with our new ‘Lite Brite’ installation.”
The Lite Brite was one of many attractions at the birthday event. The wall-sized light display had kids and adults impressed and creating colorfully illuminated images.
The museum has provided fun and educational activities for the island’s children from plays to storybook readings by Ms. Holly. KiDiMu plans to only get bigger and provide more fun learning experiences in the year to come.
“I can’t wait to see what happens over the next year,” Carbajal said.
