Islander makes field trip to the Galapagos

Julie Tamanini, an Earlham College senior and daughter of Beverly Tamanini of Bainbridge Island, and Michael Davock of Bainbridge Island, is studying in the Galapagos Islands for three weeks during an Earlham May Term course.

Julie Tamanini, an Earlham College senior and daughter of Beverly Tamanini of Bainbridge Island, and Michael Davock of Bainbridge Island, is studying in the Galapagos Islands for three weeks during an Earlham May Term course.

Tamanini is a participant in “Tropical Biology: Ecology of the Galapagos Archipelago,” an in-depth, hands-on field course that exposes students to a variety of ecosystems in the tropics, including a cloud forest ecosystem in the Andes of Ecuador.

Earlham is a selective, liberal arts college in Richmond, Ind.
