A Bainbridge Island man was arrested after allegedly attacking his girlfriend with a knife on Christmas Eve.

Isaac Jack Jr., 54, is being held on second-degree assault charges after allegedly attacking his girlfriend with a razor knife at a residence on High School Road.

Island police responded to a domestic violence call at 12:18 a.m. Monday, Dec. 24. Jack’s girlfriend told officers that he had been drinking all day before the two got into an argument. She went to her bedroom to get away from their argument, but Jack followed and proceeded to yell at her.

The girlfriend then said that Jack then pulled out a razor knife and attacked her.

The two struggled while Jack tried to cut and stab her, according to police reports. The girlfriend was able to get the knife away from Jack before she “grabbed a vase to defend herself.”

Jack then broke off his attack.

Jack was arrested on second-degree assault charges and booked into the Kitsap County Jail on $50,000 bail.
