Hyla Middle School will host its 16th annual chili cook-off on Saturday, May 18 at the school.

The cook-off will be held from noon to 5 p.m.

Islanders are invited to stop by the beloved Bainbridge tradition and vote for their favorite chili during a day of old-fashioned fun and live music at the school’s tree-lined, 13-acre campus.

Participating in the cook-off this year are the Madison Diner, Café Nola, Doc’s Marina Grill, Harbour Public House, Salmon Canyon Café, Mor Mor Bistro and Bar, Agate Pass Café and Metro Market. Cornbread will be provided by Blackbird Bakery.

The Hyla Chili Cook-off is a family event for all ages with games, a bounce house, dunk tank, snow cones, raffles, games and prizes.
