HSPE testing for sophomores is this week at Bainbridge High

Students at Bainbridge High School are gearing up for the 10th Grade High School Proficiency Examinations (HSPE).

HSPE testing begin Tuesday, March 18, and all BHS 10th-grade students will be participating in the state-mandated assessment.

Testing will continue on Wednesday and Thursday.

On all three of the HSPE dates, BHS will be operating on a “late start” schedule.

Students who are taking the HSPE will need to arrive at the high school at the regular start time of 8:35 a.m.

On Tuesday through Thursday, “zero period” classes begin at 10 a.m.

School buses will operate on a regular schedule.

Students who are not taking the HSPE (freshmen, and most juniors and seniors) will begin their first class at 11 a.m.

School bus transportation will not be provided for students arriving at the 11 a.m. start time.

BHS notes that any student who is not taking the test but needs to ride the bus to school at the normal time will have access to the BHS Commons and the BHS Library as a supervised study area between 8:30 and 10:45 a.m.

The testing schedule for HSPE week:

Tuesday, March 18: 10th Grade Writing HSPE (Session #1) – Late Start Schedule Periods 1 & 2

Wednesday, March 19: 10th Grade Writing HSPE (Session #2) – Late Start Schedule Periods 3 & 4

Thursday, March 20: 10th Grade Reading HSPE – Late Start Schedule Periods 5 & 6

Friday, March 21: Six-period day schedule with no early release.
